Die Crans Montana Region und all ihre Vorzüge
Sobald der erste Schnee fällt, bricht in der Crans Montana Region das Skifieber auf. Darauf hat man das ganze Jahr über gewartet, und wenn es dann soweit ist, füllen sich die pittoresken Sträßchen von Crans Montana mit Gästen, die Leben in die Hotels, Restaurants und natürlich auf die Skipisten bringen.
Eine Region auf Skiern
Schon seit vielen Jahren ist die Crans Montana Region als exzellentes Skigebiet bekannt. Während es vor 100 Jahren wohl noch hauptsächlich Schweizer und Franzosen waren, die dort im Winter zum Skifahren anreisten, so sind es heute Menschen aus aller Welt. Viele davon kommen regelmäßig hier her und sind professionell oder amateur-professionell im Skifahren. Viele kommen jedoch auch in die Crans Montana Region, um hier das Skifahren zu erlernen. Für alle werden die idealen Umstände geschaffen, denn es gibt viele gute Skilehrer und Pisten für Anfänger sowie Trainer für die Fortgeschrittenen und Pisten, die eine Herausforderung bieten für all jene, die es suchen.
Perfektes Winterwetter, zahllose Wintersport-Möglichkeiten
Die Crans Montana Region liegt auf fast 1500 Metern Höhe und hat daher im Winter ideales Wetter zum Skifahren. Wintersportler können sich austoben, so viel so wollen, bei angenehmen Winter-Temperaturen zwischen 0 und -10 Grad und immer wieder neuem Schneefall. Wir sagen Wintersportler, da nicht immer nur Ski gefahren werden muss: es gibt auch eine Schlittelpiste, die als die längste und schönste in der Schweiz bekannt ist. Snowboarder erfreuen sich an zwei Snowparks und einer Skicrossstrecke, auch eine 500 m lange Halfpipe gibt es. Wer Abfahrt liebt, dem steht eine 10 km lange Talabfahrtsstecke offen. Es gibt einen Schneegarten für Kinder und auch Skilehrer, die bereits den ganz Kleinen ab 3 Jahren beibringen, wie man auf Skiern Spaß hat. Wer es hingegen schon richtig kann, der sollte seine Fähigkeiten auf der schwarzen Toula-Buckelpiste austesten. Immer wieder scheint auch die Sonne auf das weiß glitzernde Skiparadies, einen Ausblick, den man von den Terassen der Zahlreichen Restaurants entlang der Pisten genießen kann.
Skifahren auch im Sommer
Wenn die Skisaison dann vorbei ist, reisen die meisten Skifahrer ab und die Crans Montana Region ändert sich – mit dem Schmelzen des Schnees ist es fast so, als ob die Orte ein anderes Gesicht haben. Ein nicht weniger attraktives, denn auch im Sommer ist in der Crans Montana Region ein reges Kommen und Gehen, denn es gibt auch im Sommer sehr viel zu tun, zu erleben und zu bestaunen. Auch für diejenigen, die eigentlich am liebsten Skifahren wollen, gibt es eine Möglichkeit, denn am südlichen Ende des Plaine Morte Gletschers kann man auch Sommerski fahren. Vor allem Skilanglauf kann man auf dem Gletscher hervorragen betreiben, denn es gibt auf der Gletscherebene auch kaum Spalten, in die man hineinfallen könnte. Ein Skilift sorgt für den nötigen Transport.
Beste Ski-Resorts
Es gibt sehr viele Hotels, Ferienwohnungen und Resorts, die Auswahl von Unterkünften in der Crans Montana Region ist unglaublich riesig. Wer jedoch im Winter und speziell zum Skifahren anreist, der möchte wohl gerne in ein Skiresort, und eines der besten am Ort ist das Chetzeron. Es ist eine ehemalige Seilbahnstation, die in ein Berghotel der Extraklasse umgebaut wurde. Die Aussichten sich selbstverständlich unbezahlbar, und die Lage könnte für Skifahrer nicht perfekter sein.
Andere Skiresorts in der Region, die von Gästen geliebt werden, sind zum Beispiel das Crans Ambassador, Le Mayen de Colombire, Hotel Splendide und das LeCrans Hotel.
